Mini Transceiver
[TM751]

PLUCK THEM OUT OF THE AIR!

That’s the purpose of the Mini Transceiver (TM751) – to get those Radio Frequency (RF) signals transmitted by your remote control like the PalmPad Remote or the SlimFire™ 2-Unit Remote out of the air and down the power line to the appropriate X10 controlled lamp, light, or other device or to let your home automation software take the signal off the power line and react accordingly. It's aptly called "Mini" because it's only 2-1/8" wide by 2-3/4" tall by 1-1/4" deep.

And, don’t forget your motion detector like the ActiveEye Motion Sensor needs a receiver for the RF signals it is transmitting.

Setup Steps

  • Plug the Mini Transceiver (TM751) into any 120V AC outlet. Fully extend its antenna.
  • Use a dime or small screwdriver to set the House Code dial on the face of the TM751 to match the X10 modules, motion detectors, and remote controls you will be using it with.
  • Plug a lamp or appliance (no more than 500 watts) into the outlet on the bottom of the TM751 or choose to not use the outlet.
  • If you are using the built-in outlet, press the small button beneath the house code dial to test that the lamp/appliance goes on and off.

Integrate With Your Home Automation Software

The Mini Transceiver becomes most useful when it passes the X10 signals it has received down the power line to your home automation software like Indigo. Your control software will identify the signal and then (per your definitions) send a command (or multiple commands) back down the power line to one or more X10 controlled devices. Indigo could even send you an email at the office (or your mobile phone) when a motion detector is triggered that shouldn't be.

Or, It Can Stand Alone

The TM751 Mini Transceiver allows you to directly control any household appliance or light that is connected through an X10 lamp or appliance module to your household wiring if it is set to the same house code as the Mini Transceiver. Also, on the bottom of the Mini Transceiver is an outlet for a lamp or other device. Whatever is then plugged into this outlet will react to the corresponding transmitted house code from a remote control or motion detector. Take note, however, that the TM751 can only transmit X10 signals down the power line. It cannot interpret X10 signals coming to it via the power line from your home automation software like Indigo. Thus, anything plugged into the bottom of the TM751 Mini Transceiver is “invisible” to your home automation software.

Just taking the opportunity to say a big thanks for your prompt and efficient service, and the manner in which I was always kept updated on the progress of my recent order. As Arnie was heard to utter on numerous occasions, "...
