DON’T MOVE!
Or, the ActiveEye Wireless Motion Sensor will catch you. Just 2.5 inches square and weighing less than 3 ounces before you add the batteries, it’s about as unobtrusive as anything can be. Put it anywhere. Indoors or outdoors. No wires. No plugs. It just sits there; picks up the motion; and then sends wireless Radio Frequency (RF) signals to an X10 Transceiver like the Mini Transceiver (TM751) or the V572 RF Receiver or even the W800RF32A RF Receiver.
The Transceiver receives the signals from the ActiveEye Wireless Motion Sensor and passes them onto your house wiring and onto an X10 control light, lamp, or device with the same House Code that the Motion Sensor is set to transmit to. The device will remain on as long as the motion is happening within its 20 foot range. When the motion stops, the device will turn off when your pre-programmed delay time has elapsed.
Of course, you may also choose to have your home automation software like Indigo intercept the transmitted signal when it moves into the house wiring. You can then have your HA software generate a sequence of events more complex then just turning a single device on. Indigo could even send you an email at the office (or your mobile phone) when the ActiveEye is triggered when it shouldn't be.
Device Features
Look how you can individualize each ActiveEye Wireless Motion Sensor to meet your particular needs:
- You can set the house code the ActiveEye transmits to whatever you like.
- You can set the time delay (how long to wait once the motion stops before the signal is transmitted to turn off the linked X10 device) to anything from 1 to 255 minutes.
- The built in photocell along with device programming allows you to choose to use or not to use the dawn/dusk feature. You don't have to put black tape over the photocell to disable it like some other motion detectors. However, you most likely will go the “do not use” route and will let Indigo manage your sunrise/sunset needs.
NOTE: Two AAA Alkaline Batteries required (not included)
