INSTEON enabled six input interface module is now available!
The EZIO6I allows monitoring/sensing of up to 6 external signals and then control INSTEON devices in response to changes in those signals.
General Info
Four of the EZIO6I inputs are opto-isolated which means they can be connected to isolated items such as alarm panels or used to monitor dry-contacts or digital signals from 3-30VDC. The other two inputs can be used for digital or analog levels (0-5VDC) to interface items such as door closures, light sensors, temperature sensors, etc.
This EZIO6I allows virtually any sensor connected to one of the six inputs on the interface module to send out a signal or group command to INSTEON devices. You can detect and monitor external events by using a smoke detector to have all the lights in the house flash when triggered, or a temperature sensor to activate your thermostat when the temperature gets too high or too low. The applications are virtually endless. Of course, the EZIO6I works with Indigo 3, which means you can create complex logic and response alternatives to various status changes received from the 6 input points of the EZIO6I.
(NOTE: Indigo 3.0 or greater, in tandem with the INSTEON PowerLinc V2 Controller 2414U is required to use the EZIO6I.)
AND . . . ANOTHER NOTE: Indigo must be running on your Mac for the EZIO6I to be controlled. You cannot upload your related triggers and schedules that involve the EZIO6I into the PowerLinc Controller 2414U and then turn off your Mac. See these helpful Indigo hardware compatibility tables.
