Heavy Load Appliance Control via INSTEON
Do you need to control an air conditioner or electric water heater or heavy electrical load via INSTEON? The EZSwitch30 is the first INSTEON compatible high current (30Amps) relay module that responds to INSTEON and X10 On/Off commands sent through the power line. And yes, it is supported by Indigo 3.
The module contains dual relays with available normally-open or normally-closed contacts. Thus, it is possible to switch both legs of a 220VAC 2-phase circuit, and control the load to be activated with either ON or OFF commands. Activating with OFF commands might be desirable in cases where a failure in the switch would leave the load energized. The module derives its internal power and communicates with the INSTEON network from the neutral and line 1 (hot) connections. EZSwitch30 has a built-in power line interface and its programming and control is done through the power line.
Local Control
Mount the EZSwitch30 on or near the appliance you want to control. You can then turn the appliance on or off locally by pressing the set button on the side of the EZSwitch30.
Easy Connections
The EZSwitch30 has a built-in connection block with screw terminals. Just insert your stripped wires and tighten the screws, and you're ready to control your appliance.
