The Basics
The INSTEON ToggleLinc V2 Relay has the same great features as the award-winning INSTEON SwitchLinc V2 Relay but with a familiar toggle control to match your home décor. The INSTEON ToggleLinc V2 Relay allows you to include fluorescent or non-dimmable lights, fans, and other appliances in your INSTEON network. The INSTEON ToggleLinc V2 Relay is made to run silently no matter what kind of device you connect to it. The ToggleLinc V2 Relay functions only as an on/off switch. If you need a dimmable switch to control incandescent bulbs, low-voltage halogen (e.g. track), and other low-voltage lights with magnetic or dimmable electronic transformers, use the INSTEON ToggleLinc V2 Dimmer or the INSTEON SwitchLinc V2 Dimmer. Because the INSTEON ToggleLinc V2 Relay is built with a much quieter relay than most remote-control ON/OFF switches, it has a click that's more than 80 percent quieter than traditional relay switches. The click of the ToggleLinc's internal relay is barely audible. Want scenes? You can incorporate a light into multiple lighting design scenes in minutes. Want ultimate control? Define and synch it into a savvy home automation program like Indigo and you’re only limited by your imagination.The white status LED indicates the current status of the device being controlled. When the INSTEON ToggleLinc V2 Relay is turned off, the white LED illuminates to help with finding the switch in the dark.
Generates Less Heat
Unlike triac-based dimmers, the INSTEON ToggleLinc V2 Relay uses a hard-contact relay to control the load. Other switches may use a semiconductor that absorbs about two volts of power and dissipates the heat through the front of the switch. By using a relay, the switch runs cooler and full voltage gets to the load.
Compatibility
The INSTEON ToggleLinc V2 Relay is fully INSTEON compatible and X10 ready. Homeowners with existing X10 networks can easily migrate to an INSTEON network without having to discard all their existing X10 devices. The ToggleLinc V2 Relay can then be remotely controlled with a INSTEON ControLinc and/or Indigo. Since the ToggleLinc V2 Relay can also be assigned an X10 house code, if you have the PowerLinc Controller, then you can communicate to it with Indigo using the X10 protocol. However, if you have downloaded Indigo and have the INSTEON PowerLinc V2 Controller, then you will be able to control it using native INSTEON commands for increased reliability and response speed.
Easy To Install and Use
The ToggleLinc V2 Relay is so easy to install and set. Just remove the old switch, reattach the line, load, and ground wires with the addition of the neutral wire using the included wire nuts, and you're done. The ToggleLinc V2 Relay offers the natural feel of high-end switches: flip up to turn lights on, flip down to turn lights off. You'll also love the crisp, tactile response with each flip, instead of the mushy feeling of other brands.
Create Multi-Way Circuits
Do you have two or three switches that you wish could all control the same light? The ToggleLinc V2 Relay allows you to customize your lighting scenes without rewiring your home. These complicated lighting circuits are made simple using INSTEON technology because you won't need to use traveler wires to create the electrical connections. First replace all of the switches you want to include in the circuit with ToggleLinc V2 Relays. The main relay must be connected to the standard wires: load, line, neutral, and ground. The secondary relays only need to be connected to line, neutral, and ground. Since no traveler wires are needed, it is easy to place a relay wherever you need it. Finally, cross-link all of the secondary relays to the master relay for a flexible, fully functional multi-way circuit.
Non-Erasable Memory
All INSTEON ToggleLinc V2 Relay settings are stored in static memory and are not lost during power failures. Additionally, in the event of a power loss, the ToggleLinc V2 Relay will return to its last on/off state when power is restored.
