Control 220V devices up to 60 amps as part of your Indigo /INSTEON network
Basic Info
This product from Elk allows for INSTEON control of 220V high current (up to 60 amps) devices such as electric water heaters, pool pumps and motorized gates. The relay contactor is pre-wired with a three prong plug-in cord that can be connected to an appliance style automation module like the INSTEON ApplianceLinc (see add-on option below). There are pre-wired terminal lugs to easily connect the electricity from the breaker panel and the device you wish to control. Once everything is wired, simply add your ApplianceLinc or other relay type INSTEON device, probably under control of Indigo, and now you have remote On/Off control of your 220V device.
The relay contactor is enclosed in a solid metal structured wiring panel that locks for safety. However, It is recommended that you mount this enclosure in a dry indoor location. Additionally, approved electrical wire clamps (not included) should be used when running wire from the load device and the electrical panel into the wiring panel.
